Full figures are not in yet (the added Channel 4+1 numbers which normally add a few hundred on to the total).This time last year 3 million watched Shabnam wonder out the door into obscurity and never to be seen again, (thankfully) and it has been a roller coaster affair in the ratings war for BB since it started.
Let's take Thursday for example, Big Brother managed to gain fantastic ratings beating ITV1 with its 9pm offering - Mind you, it was a show on incest which is not everyone's cup of tea and footie was on the other side. Friday's numbers dropped and it is looking like Saturdays viewing figures are the WORST EVER. As these do not include Channel 4+1 and will not until Monday or Tuesday, we will have to wait and see.I don't think this is the worst ever series and any fan knows that is BB4, but that is not the point. Channel 4 had the chance to change Big Brother! It had the chance to change almost anything and everything and it changed - NOTHING. If this series fails it will be because of laziness and lack of foresight. If money is so important why not make this show better and gain more money from it rather than flogging what is becoming dead horse?
